Revival Services - On Sunday (8/21) at 11 AM we start our Revival Services with Rev. Roger Roller. Services then they continue each evening (Sunday thru Wednesday) at 7 PM. We will have Special Music and great messages each evening! So be praying for these service, be inviting others to these service, and make sure you come to these services!
Fundraiser for Kentucky and Tennessee Tornado Victims - Women on Mission of Sedley Baptist Church is doing a fundraiser for victims of the severe Tornados that ripped through Kentucky and Tennessee on December 10th and 11th 2021. Two of the tornados each traveled over 120 miles on the ground from Tennessee into Kentucky, completely destroying everything in their paths and doing millions of dollars in damage. The fundraiser is on Saturday, September 24th, it is a Captain Bob’s Meal of BBQ, Slaw, Baked Beans, and Hushpuppies and tickets are $10. Pick up is between 11 AM - 2 PM at Savage Farms in Franklin. Please contact the church if you are interested in tickets or more information! This is a way we can all reach out and help others in need! Here is just some of what we do when we are not doing events and where you can serve with us:
For the Parents/Infants/Toddlers:
Nursery (infant - 3 years old) on Sunday Mornings during Sunday School (10AM) and the Worship Service (11AM).
Sunday School classes are provided for children 3 years of age thru 6th grade at 10AM Sunday Mornings. Children learn about Bible Stories and Bible Characters and build relationships.
Children's Bible Club is for K-5th grade on Wednesday Nights from 7:00PM - 7:45PM. Kids learn bible verses, play games, and talk about what they believe. Children in Action and Mission Friends is for children who are 4 yrs old - 5th grade. Children in Action meets in the Fellowship Hall just before the Morning Worship Service.
For the Teens:
Youth Sunday School at 10AM each Sunday and they learn about the bible and apply it to their lives.
Youth Group - 6th - 12th grades - meet each Wednesday night from 6:45PM - 8PM. They do a Bible Study that relates to their everyday lives, they talk, and generally have a great time.
Second Saturday - The teens meet the second Saturday of each month and do a variety of fun activities.
Special Trips - The teens occasionally will take special trips to Youth conferences, Christian Concerts, and other fun and spiritually rewarding places as well as Mission Opportunities.
For the Women:
Women of the Word - The women of the church meet through the fall and winter each Tuesday in small groups and are challenged by Biblical teaching and learning and growing in their relationships with Christ and each other. They also take special trips to events like Women of Faith and Extraordinary Women.
W.M.U. (Women's Missionary Union) - These ladies meet at 10AM the first Tuesday of every month and discuss missions here and around the world. They also organize trips and events that focus on Missions.
For the Men:
Wise Guys Bible Study - meet at 7 PM on Thursday's in the Fellowship Hall. The men talk about a chapter of the Bible and apply it to their daily life and generally have a good time.
Special Events - The men take special trips to Men's Events like the East Coast Men's Bible Conference and Wildfire Weekend.
Sunday School - There are Sunday School Classes for every age and people in every stage of life each Sunday at 10AM. In these classes people connect to one another, learn about how to be better believers in Christ, and grow in their knowledge of Christ.
Worship Service - Every Sunday at 11AM we meet to Praise and Worship God through prayer, singing, preaching/teaching, and we find our hope and strength in Christ. It is all about making much of Jesus.
Wednesday Evening Prayer - Each Wednesday from 7PM - 7:45PM we pray for the needs of our church family, friends, neighbors, community, and world.
Adult Choir - They meet each Wednesday night from 8:00PM-9:00PM and practice for the services and special cantatas they perform.
Fellowship Supper - One time a month (normally the 3rd Sunday Evening) at 5:30 we have a supper where we bring covered dishes and sit and enjoy one another's company.
